C001 The Hitch Hiker This is a story, a ghost story, from Winnipeg a city in the center of Canada. Ifve been to Winnipeg many times. My friends told me this story, they believe it is true. One night, two of my friends were driving home along the perimeter highway. It was a dark cold rainy night. As they drove along in the dark, on the side of the road, they saw something ahead. What is it? Who is it? Itfs, itfs a person. I think itfs a woman. A woman. Yes. She was standing by the side of the road. As they drew closer, they could see a little bit more in the dark in the cold in the rain. She, she is wearing a long dress or something. Whatfs she doing? Whatfs she doing? She was waving, waving her hand from left to right, left to right. A woman wearing a strange long old-fashioned dress, standing by the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the cold dark lonely fields in the rain. Should we stop? Should we give her a ride? I donft know. Itfs kind of weird nobody lives out here. Nobody lives out here. It was a dark cold stretch of road. But the driver decided. Come on, wefve got to stop. Shefs probably in trouble. He began to take his foot off the gas pedal. And the car went slower and slower. As they drew closer to the woman, they can see. Her dress was very wet, long old-fashioned wet dress. And her face was very old. As they drew closer, as the car almost stopped, the driver suddenly could see her face. She was smiling. A cold ugly twisted smile, waiting by the side of the road, waiting for them to stop. Oh, the driver panicked. He stepped on the gas pedal and he flew past the woman in his car. And as he did so, he looked in the rearview mirror. He was feeling guilty. Why had he panicked? Why had he left her there in the rain in the cold? He looked in the rearview mirror. And then, he saw the old woman sitting in a back seat of the car. And smiling. AHHHHH. Disgusting horror. The passenger didnft know what was wrong, the woman sitting beside him. She turned around and she looked. But there was nothing in the back seat. It was empty, and so was the road empty. There was nobody there. My friends believe this story is true. Do you? Um fu fu fu fu fu fu fu fu fu fu fu.
