O008 The Little Red Hen This is the story of the little red hen. Once upon a time, there was a little red hen and she lived on a farm with her three little chicks. On the farm, there were three other animals that were her companions, but they were lazy. There was a dog, there was a cat, and there was a pig. One day, the little red hen decided that she was going to bake some bread for her and her chicks, and she had some, um, there was some wheat growing in the farm. So she went and she asked her friends if they would help her. So she asked the dog. She said, gDog, will you come and help me bake some bread?h He said, gNo no, no I wonft. Ifm just to busy laying in the sun.h And then um so she went to ask the cat if he would help her, and he said, gNo no no Ifm laying in the sun too. I donft want to go and help you.h And then the um she asked the pig and he was too busy wallowing in the mud. So the hen, she went home and cut the wheat down, ready to bake the bread. So her and her chicks, so she said, she said the animals, gThen I will do it with the chicks.h And she went home and cut the wheat. After she cut the wheat, she decided she needed to thresh it to get the grains out. So she went and asked her friends again. She asked the dog, gWho will help me thresh this wheat?h And the dog said, gNo not I. Ifm too busy laying in the sun.h And she asked the cat and the cat said, gNo not I. Ifm too busy laying in the sun.h And she asked the pig and the pig said, gNo, not I. Ifm too busy laying in the mud.h And so the hen said, gOkay I will go with my little chicks and I will thresh the wheat.h So she took the little chicks and she threshed the wheat. Then, she was up, she was ready to grind the wheat into flour. So she went and she asked her friends if they would help her. And she said to the dog, gWill you help me grind this wheat into flour?h gNo not I. I wonft help you.h Said the dog. gIfm too busy laying in the sun.h So she asked the the cat, the cat said, gNo I wonft help you. Ifm too busy laying in the sun.h And she asked the pig if he would help her, and he said, gNo no. Ifm not going to help you. Ifm too busy wallowing the mud.h So the, the hen said, gOkay, Ifll grind this wheat into flower.h So she went off with her little chicks, and she ground the wheat into flour. Then she decided it was time to make the bread, so she just, she went and asked her friends again, gWill you help me turn the flour into bread to make the bread?h And the dog said, gNo, I wonft help you. Ifm too busy laying in the the sun.h And so she went and asked the cat and the cat said, gNo, I wonft help you Ifm too busy laying in the the sun.h And she asked the pig and the pig said, gNo I wonft help you. Ifm too busy laying in the sun, and the mud.h And so the um the chicks, the hen said, gOkay Ifll go and make the bread with my chicks.h And so she did and she went and baked the bread, and a few hours later they could smell the nice smell of the bread and all of the animals suddenly got hungry haha. And the hen went over to their friends and said, gWho will help me eat this bread?h And the dog said, gI will.h And then the cat said, gI will.h And the pig said, gI will.h But the hen said, gNo you shanft. You didnft help me when I had to cut the wheat, of thresh the wheat, or grind it into flour or bake the bread. You wouldnft help me so youfre not going to share my bread.h So she went off with her little chicks and they ate the bread and they really enjoyed it. And the others went without because they were being too lazy.
