UK 002 Little Red Riding Hood Once upon a time there lived a little girl in a village. Whenever she would go outside, she would wear a red riding cloak, so she owned the nickname, gLittle Red Riding Hood.h One day, her mother gave her a basket of cookies, and told her to take them to Grandma. gBut be careful.h She warned Little Red Riding Hood. gDonft dawdle in the forest or talk to any strangers.h So, Little Red Riding Hood agreed, and set off into the forest, down the path. She stopped to look at the pretty butterflies and pretty flowers on her way, forgetting what her mother had told her about dawdling in the path. All too soon a big bad wolf jumped out, growled at her, gWhere are you going little girl?h he asked. Little Red Riding Hood, forgetting her motherfs advice about talking to strangers, replied, gIfm just going to visit my Grandma.h gOh. Very well,h he replied. And off he ran into the forest. Little Red Riding Hood thought nothing more and continued on her way. What she didnft realize though, was that the big bad wolf was taking a shortcut to Grandmafs house. And he arrived there right before she got there. He knocked on the door. Little Red Riding Hoodfs Grandma answered. gHello.h She said opening the door. The big bad wolf gobbled her up and ran to her room, pushing on her clothes and jumped into her bed, just before Little Red Riding Hood arrived. Knocking on the door, Little Red Riding said, gHello. Grandma? Are you there?h gCome in,h said the wolf. Little Riding Hood entered a bit worried that Grandmafs voice was all very low. gGrandma? You feeling alright?h gYe...Yes. I just have a bit of a cold,h replied the wolf, trying to pose as Grandma. gGrandma! What big ears you have!h exclaimed Little Red Riding Hood. gAll the better to hear you with,h replied the wolf. gAnd Grandma, what big eyes you have!h gAll the better to see you with,h replied the wolf. gBut, Grandma! What big teeth you have!h gAll the better to eat you with!h cried the wolf, as he jumped out of the bed and began to chase Little Red Riding Hood around the room. Little Red Riding Hood, realizing that the wolf was posing as her Grandma, began running around the cottage screaming, gHelp! Help!h A local woodsman heard her cries and ran into the room. He stopped the wolf from chasing Little Red Riding Hood and made him spit out Grandma, who was fortunately okay, just a little bit frazzled. Little Red Riding Hood and her Grandma sat down to enjoy the cookies little Red Riding Hood had brought. A bit terrified from their experience, but other than that, they were okay. And the woodsman took the big bad wolf into the forest and made him leave all people alone again. gNow youfve learned your lesson, havenft you, Little Red Riding Hood?h said Grandma. gYes, Grandma. I will never talk to strangers or dawdle in the forest again,h replied Little Red Riding Hood. The end.
